Attention, many mails

Attention, many mails

Since I am currently designing my site internationally and unfortunately something has gone wrong, all contributions will gradually be translated into English and displayed as a new post. That's why my subscribers are being piled up with emails, I'm trying to bundle them a little bit. So beware, all English is a translation, German headings are part of a new article. Likewise, the language selection of the website is still somewhat disturbed, so that everything is just a bit confused.

My Car, 19.6.19

My Car, 19.6.19

I think I could tell you a little more about that now. Last Monday, 10.6, I bought a 2002 Ford Mondeo Station wagon from a colleague from the restaurant where I work now, as she is going back to Germany for some time. In the meantime, I have also found my car on their social media pages. But the cover is of me, taken in front of my hostel in Warkworth. Actually a snapshot, but somehow quite nice. In any…

Tablecloths again.. 13.6.19

Tablecloths again.. 13.6.19

Today my first day at work was on schedule, at plume restaurant Matakana. I think I can write this here, there is almost no one close to read this anyway. Still I am a bit confused by the table numbers, can not memorize the menu yet and what bothers me even more is not to know the wine list. But I'm not left alone yet. After the guests had left lunch, we went (again) to iron tablecloths. Why go again?…

alive, 12.6.19

At first I couldn't write because nothing happened, then I didn't want to write right, because there were too many uncertainties, then I didn't have time to write because I had to work. So what has happened in the last 1.5 weeks: I downloaded the New Zealand weather radar when I was upstairs in Whangarei, got a rejection about couchsurfing, and asked for a job in the last big place. Meanwhile, in Matakana (next to Warkworth) tomorrow I will have…

Facts. 5.6.19

I haven't written anything for a long time Each bridge has a sign with its number New Zealand has a bookshop with a population of 7,500 – more bookstores per inhabitant than anywhere else in the world. It is nice to see that even well-trained road cyclists only come up the mountain twice as fast as I do. It is depressing to arrive at the same time as a brisk pedestrian at the top. My bike is really good! I'm…

Sun, wind and cold. 2.6.19

How did I come up with the idea of riding a bike? I don't really know anymore. In any case, it has been clear to me in the last few months that I will definitely take my bike to New Zealand. Also that I will camp on the way was simply a matter of course for me. Another point I so semi-regret. Actually it would be nice, but I'm lying in my sleeping bag with far too many layers of…

I don't know any more. 1.6.19

I don't know any more. 1.6.19

Winter has been around for three days and that means rain. Proper rain. And when it 'doesn't rain', it just means that you don't know if you know if it's more pleasant to leave the rain jacket on or take it off. Because even then you still get wet, in the finest tropical spray rain. Anyway, today I didn't have to cycle. Just shop something edible once, especially since monday is still a public holiday. This has been on every…
