The day is mainly wet and cold. But from the beginning.

I get up very early and set off my tent at seven o’clock in the morning. In the first rain break, which is also immediately over again. But then I have to have breakfast for a very long time, until my appointment in the bike shop. There may be more to this in a few days or weeks. Afterwards we head towards Hamburg.

The next rain shower already sitting in the neck, there is the first diversion. This is always exhausting, especially for the head. Knowing that I’m just driving in the wrong direction feels doofy. And on a bridge, he catches up with me. The rain. Together with hurricane gusts up to bft9 I am really in a washing machine and afraid to drive on. The weather hits me from the side for a moment. In the shade of some trees I can take a short breath and wait until the worst is over.

Continue. Towards the south to Hamburg, the prospect of tailwind beckons. The rain is no longer so bad, and it finally subsides and even sees through the sun. I’m pretty frozen through the short break.

Finished dried I go to eat on the outskirts of Hamburg first. In Hamburg myself I see the Elbe under me, so this was not actually planned. I wanted to drive directly on the shore, not on top of the Chaussee… I didn’t even notice that, on the two ferries I set myself as an option. Well, then I have to go through the little adventure “old Elbe tunnel”. The entrance I pass in the rain, on the other side the sun shines. That’s why I have time to crawl out my phone to navigate the entire port. Unfortunately, a rather long road, and now also with headwinds.

In any case, I finally arrive at the campsite at around nine o’clock in the evening. In the dry I set up my tent, go to the bath and then it starts to rain again. So I crawl edging into my sleeping bag completely broken.
