Like last night, without a place to sleep, we don’t want to do it again. Since the public mail on couchsurfing was not answered, we look around for a campsite, just south just outside Cambridge. So we have the opportunity to wash, shower and visit the city in the afternoon. That is what we did. There were some hills along the way, but otherwise the track is beautiful. Apart from the fact that we caught the wrong road in the morning and find ourselves at the end of the motorway at Stansted airport, roughly comparable to the big junction towards Düsseldorf Messe. Just in the form of roundabouts. And this in the middle of the commute. Except for a few nerves, everything is still healthy.

At the campsite we get the backpacker fare, which must actually be available with us. Often parking, chemical toilet and high current are included in the price and by bike unnecessary. Freshly washed and the laundry hung up for drying, we drive to the city without luggage. Hence the longer km indication, the path was after all relatively far. And the wheels are shaky all at once!

After the first few meters, students come to meet us, who want to turn us on a boat trip. No need – we are hungry. We still skip the first restaurant, but at the next best we strike. The kitchen in the pub is just finished and we do everything right with our choice. The burgers are good, the fries are good too, and even affordable during the week. Just for dessert we let ourselves go really well. After another round along the canal we ate a totally tasty and interesting looking own creation at the Italian next door. Unfortunately a little overpriced, but really delicious.

Ball round eaten we buy breakfast and then we go back to the tent. Quickly remove the laundry and then crumb into the sleeping bag until we are awakened by the rain.
